Tom has worked in a leadership capacity in both government and private sector of or more than a decade. His experience includes leading initiatives/programs for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Department of Homeland Security, and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. Tom is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has overseen the successful delivery of programs ranging from technology transfer to professional serves and enterprise architecture design.
Tom began his professional career working as Professional Staff for the Appropriation Sub-Committee of Defense, US House of Representatives. In this capacity, Tom oversaw the funding and implementation of thousands of programming worth hundreds of billions of dollars annually. During his tenor working for the sub-committee, he also served as a liaison between the Department of Defense and several members of congress.
Transitioning from government work to the private sector, Tom took a position as a General Manager of Federal Programs at a privately held Architectural Engineering firm. In this position Tom was responsible for oversight of federal business development, program development, program/project management, and overall company strategy in the Federal Sector. This work was mostly focused on taking professional services and applying them to mission focused programs and programs of record. These services spanned the spectrum from classic AE/CE services to telecommunications and technology enterprise architecture and geospatial analysis.
Tom has also and currently serves in an advisory capacity and as a board member for several companies that focus on transferring technologies globally and between various markets. Drawing on his expertise in funding, business development, market penetration, and strategic connection both within government and the private sector, Tom has been able to assist these companies in delivering programs and projects that have significant and measurable success in mission critical environments. These successes have also seen tremendous commercial yields for the organizations while helping the government complete its mission scope.
